The opioid epidemic is an ongoing situation that is increasing not only in Richmond – but throughout the United States.
Often, when we think about drug addiction we think about young people – but it’s important to understand that drug addiction also affects seniors.
As we age, many of us are diagnosed with chronic illnesses, pain, and other conditions that may prescribe a variety of painkillers and other potentially addicting medications.

Between October 15 and December 7, 2024, those eligible for Medicare can enroll or make changes to their existing coverage.
