May is Older Americans Month

One thing I want to remind you while we celebrate Older Americans Month is that though we are getting older, age is truly just a number.

A few ways to make sure you are aging well include:

  • Eating healthy
  • Getting regular exercise
  • Enjoying social outings with friends and family
  • Following a routine preventive health care schedule
  • Enjoying hobbies to support your mental health

I intend to age MY way, and I encourage you to join me! ❤

The 2024 theme of Older Americans Month is “Powered by Connection,” which recognizes the profound impact that meaningful relationships and social connections have on our health and well-being.

Connecting with others may sound easy, but it isn’t always. Visit eldercare.acl.gov to find trustworthy local support resources, like transportation and respite care, that can help.

And, please don’t hesitate to reach out if I can help you (or your family or friends) with your Medicare, supplemental insurance, or life insurance needs.

Thank you for trusting me to help you. I’m so glad to have you here with me.

Can I Talk to Your Group About Medicare?

I enjoyed meeting a great group of seniors in April about healthy aging and Medicare at Rising Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

If your senior group is looking for a guest speaker soon, I have a list of topics I love speaking about. I’d be happy to discuss your meeting or event needs. Contact me, let’s talk!
